Privacy Policy
This policy explains, in plain language, how the public My Adrenal Life website handles information. Last updated 21 September 2026.
Who is responsible
The public website is owned and operated by Rick Disler, located in Tennessee. Questions: hello@myadrenallife.com. See also the Legal Notice.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the public My Adrenal Life website. The membership portal at wordpress.myadrenallife.com is a separate site with its own terms. This page does not describe how that portal works.
Contact
You can write to hello@myadrenallife.com or use the contact form. Name, email address, topic, and message are sent so we can reply. The public site does not keep a copy of that form on the server after sending (send-only). WordPress delivers the message to the configured inbox. The recipient address is not printed in the page HTML.
Newsletter
Newsletter signups collect an email address and a consent checkbox (not pre-checked). When MailPoet is installed, that plugin stores the subscription and sends a confirmation email (double opt-in). Consent time is recorded when the signup succeeds. MailPoet is a newsletter processor. This site does not run a homemade bulk mailer.
Ask ADDI
Ask ADDI is a helper on the public site for questions about this website, the Facebook group, the books, and educational topics around living with adrenal insufficiency. A third-party chatbot provider processes chat content as needed to operate it. Ask ADDI is not medical advice and is not for emergencies.
Hosting, email, fonts, and similar tools
The public site is hosted with HostGator. The host may keep ordinary server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and time of request) to run and secure the site. Email is used to receive and answer messages sent to hello@myadrenallife.com. The site may load fonts or other files from a content delivery network so pages display correctly.
Research headlines
Latest-research headlines on the public site come from public research indexes such as NCBI/PubMed. Fetching those headlines may involve a request to those providers. The headlines are not a substitute for medical advice.
Links that leave this site
Podcast listen links go to podcast platforms (Apple, Spotify, YouTube, iHeart, and Amazon Music). Book links go to Amazon. The community group is on Facebook. Those services have their own policies. We do not control what they collect after you leave.
Cookies
Third-party tools used to run the site—such as the chatbot, fonts, or a content delivery network—may set cookies or similar storage needed for those tools to work. Your browser settings can limit cookies; some features may not work if you block them.
What we do not do on this public site
We do not sell your contact messages. We do not use this policy to describe membership-portal accounts, checkout, or passwords.
